In Brussels, where France has chaired the EU Council since January 1, a draft resolution has been drawn up, according to which the peaceful atom should henceforth be considered environmentally friendly, that is, completely green.

Natural gas (with minor and not changing the essence of the matter) - too.

The motives of France and the EU member states that supported it are clear.

The unprecedented rise in European energy prices is disastrous for an economy that may not be able to compete with other countries that are less concerned with the ideals of a green world.

If things go on like this, then what will happen to global warming of anthropogenic origin is unknown (it is still unknown), but a local economic collapse of anthropogenic origin is quite likely.

In addition, there is dependence on its citizens.

It is not that directly “the voice of the people is the voice of God,” in a number of cases this voice of the people can be bypassed, as if it never existed.

But the rise in the cost of fuel and electricity at times hits households so hard that it is impossible not to reckon with it at all.

Especially when, in general, there is a way out - natural gas has not physically disappeared anywhere, and the tamed atom too. And stubborn rejection of them for the sake of the tenets of the green religion - it is said that haram means haram - would be even worse than food prohibitions in Islam and Judaism, where theologians consider starving oneself to death to be a greater sin than eating pork.

Therefore, not daring to directly call the latest ecological doctrines fables of drunken women (var .: the fables of Greta Thunberg) - only the famous enfant terrible, Czech President Milos Zeman dared to do so - quite a few European governments are ready to quietly smuggle in carbon-nuclear propaganda. For to eat, as well as to heat at home, is a need.

Let's not talk about France, where the share of nuclear power plants in the total power balance is still about 70%.

For a Frenchman, a ban on a peaceful atom is tantamount to an order to kill himself with a broom against a wall.

But even some Lithuania, which was previously ready to do anything for the sake of the European path - for example, to close the Ignalina nuclear power plant, which meant the transformation of the republic from an energy surplus to an energy deficit - has now announced through the lips of its president Nauseda that small nuclear power plants can be built.

Previously, opponents of the atom drew the horrors of the inevitable future Chernobyls, but, obviously, if the nuclear power plant is small, then Chernobyl will be small and not at all scary.

And the meaning of the draft resolution is simple: "If you want to live, you will not be so hot."

Green religion is good, as long as it does not touch the quick.

But not everyone is so opportunistic.

For the new German government, it is in no way possible to agree with the decree crossing the pig into a crucian carp.

This would mean a renunciation of the very foundations of the sweet ecological doctrine.

Therefore, the German Minister for the Environment and Nuclear Safety, Steffi Lemke, pointed out that the plans of the European Commission are “absolutely wrong”.

In principle, the green ministers should have hung in their offices portraits of a member of the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee M.A.

Suslov, who owns the immortal phrase: "We do not save on ideology."

True to this principle, they do not economize either, and from the dogmatic point of view, they are absolutely right - the EC project is nothing but revisionism.

The fight against global warming, according to their teachings, is the fight against thermal pollution of the environment, each extra kilocalorie thrown into the air brings the apocalypse closer - the transformation of the Earth into Venus.

But it is obvious that the cleanest natural gas and the cleanest and safest nuclear power plant add these extra kilocalories.

Fuel for them with its potential energy lay quietly in the bowels of the earth, and a human consumer extracted gas or uranium from the bowels and released energy into the environment.

Anyone can look at a picture of a power plant with large cooling towers heating the atmosphere.

The laws of thermodynamics, there's nothing to be done.

And when it is decided not to warm the atmosphere anymore, all objects using fossil fuels - be it hydrocarbon or uranium - must be anathema.

If, instead of anathema, complete opportunism comes out - as in the EC draft - and the FRG government agrees with this draft, then the question arises: what are the representatives of the Green Party doing in this government that violates the sacred principles of the green world?

Of course, to speak irresponsible speeches is not to roll bags.

But the current situation with the energy supply in Europe is such that one has to choose: either to continue speaking, or to bear the burden with an effort.

Everyone is interested in how this dilemma will be resolved in Berlin, because someone here must inevitably suffer.

Or ordinary Germans, or the 16th century Munster Anabaptists, now renamed Greens.
