Jin Jing, Liu Shengying, Yu Ao, Tie Nan, Guan Chao, and Yang Fan are neighbors to create comedy and live together. Two dogs are the biggest contradiction.

A realistic version of "Friends" by six comedians

The "Annual Comedy Contest" will end on January 7.

In addition to offering a batch of outstanding comedies such as "Last Lesson", "Idol Waiter", and "Mr. Please Come Out", the variety show also attracted comedians such as Liu Beast, Wang Hao, Shi Ce, Jiang Long, Da Suo, Sun Tianyu, etc. Familiar.

Among them, there is a group of comedians who have become friends because of love, colleagues because of comedy, and neighbors because of warmth.

They live together in a common community in Beijing.

In the past two years, within the distance of seeing each other in less than 10 seconds, they created comedies together, ordered takeaways together, played werewolves together, and quarreled together because of dog education... They lived the envy of countless young people. , The same life as the real version of "Friends".

What is it that attracts several young people in their thirties to live together?

From a "delicate" workplace relationship to intimate coexistence?

Beijing News reporter exclusively interviewed comedians Jin Jing, Liu Shengying, Yu Ao, Tie Nan, Guan Chao, and Yang Fan.

"We don't have to get together to do something, we are just a family relationship." Yu Ao defined it like this.

Written by/Beijing News reporter Zhang He

A sense of belonging at home

Don't want to go home, just move in

Yu Ao and Tie Nan are the first two tenants of this house.

Yang Fan travels between here and his home every day.

According to Yang Fan's recollection, the three met during school.

Tie Nan is the senior of the 2003 performance department of the Central Academy of Drama. He met Yang Fan from the 2006 director department a little earlier, and Yu Ao is a younger sister of Yang Fan.

In 2016, Ma Dong, the founder and CEO of Miwei Media, invited them to discuss creating a sitcom.

This happens to be Yu Ao's ideal-to make a Chinese version of "Friends".

A year later, Jin Jing and Liu Shengying came to Beijing from Shanghai and became Mi Wei’s contracted artists, as well as colleagues of the three of Yu Ao.

But for a long time, the two teams were not familiar with each other, and even in Jin Jing's description, the workplace relationship was somewhat "subtle".

In 2020, Mi Wei decided to prepare a comedy show, and organized a "comedy workshop" for the company's actors and screenwriters in the suburbs of Beijing for several days and nights.

In the meantime, the Yuao team and Jin Jing team got together and held many creative meetings.

"In that kind of closed environment, we showed our sincerity to each other, shed tears, and promised to work hard together in our dreams. It should be that time when we started slowly approaching each other." Jin Jing said with a smile.

Tetsuo still remembers that after the comedy workshop, they began to make appointments to eat together, play script kills and escape rooms together.

"It turns out that we can have a lot of fun in our lives." Soon, Jin Jing became the roommate of Yu Ao and Tie Nan.

And Liu Shengying, who often comes to Jin Jing to play, can only run on both sides.

Like many young people who come to big cities to work hard, several young people from different places and with different experiences, get acquainted and approached because of work, and involuntarily gather together because of the joy of life.

They do not rush to the stable thirty, but pay more attention to the establishment of personal social circles.

"Later, Liu Shengying (body) really couldn't hold it anymore (laughs)." Jin Jing described.

During that time, Liu Shengying and her boyfriend Guanchao always stayed at Jin Jing's house until two or three in the middle of the night, and they ate together with Yu Ao and the others, watching TV, and sharing fun things.

When Liu Shengying went there for the first time, she still complained, "What's so good about this community, so far." The second time, the impression began to change, "The greenery seems to be good." The third time, she went directly to Guan Guan. Chao said, this community is really good, and I will move here next time.

Liu Shengying and Jin Jing have been in Beijing for many years, but there are only a handful of local friends.

"(At that time) when you get home, you look at your little house, which is a place to sleep. It turns out that you can only be happy if your friends are there."

As the landlord wanted to sell the house and the roommates had to move, Liu Shengying rented out a house in the community where Yuao was located almost without thinking.

It takes about 20 seconds to walk from this house to the houses of Yu'ao and Jin Jing. If you walk faster, 10 seconds is fine.

What happened later was that when Liu Shengying was packing the express delivery on the balcony, he could see Tie Nan watering the flowers on the balcony next to him.

Tie Nan asked without raising his head, "Buy so many things again?" This opened a new day of dialogue between the two families.

"Every day after you go home from work, it's like you have a place to belong in the city, and you have a world." Tie Nan recalled.

And when did several people accept each other and allow each other to invade their own areas of life?

Everyone can't remember.

Perhaps it was a certain night talk in the middle of the night, or a certain warm act after becoming neighbors.

But in Liu Shengying's view, the fact that everyone chooses to live together does not need to be explained so complicated.

"People, just want to go to a warm place."

  Close and alienated

There is nothing to break in.

Oh except for two dogs

When the social distance is substantially reduced, any intimate relationship will face endless trivialities.

Therefore, when these few people decide to move together, they seem to be tacitly aware of this-this kind of temporary "friends" is not a long-term solution, and will always be adjusted due to changes in social relations-this sober premise, Let them establish a neighbor relationship that is not intimate, but precise and proportionate.

For example, how to share water and electricity bills, who buys food, how to share daily consumption... these trivial matters, on the first day of moving, everyone kept a very high warning, and formulated clear rules for this.

From Guan Chao's point of view, the people who live here have an introvert side privately, and most of the time, everyone will immerse themselves in the room to create.

But in getting along for more than a year, this sense of boundaries seems to be gradually disappearing from the more comfortable, cheerful, and even noisy atmosphere.

"To put it bluntly, it's a bit noisy (laugh)." Yu Ao and Tetsuo often heard "haha" laughter in the next room when they were writing.

Yu Ao was attracted first, and then she and Tetsuo became a member of the "chat group".

The meal is even more lively.

If someone makes a meal someday, the other one will definitely come to the door.

Tetsuo is most particular about eating, so every night, Tetsuo will take out his mobile phone, open the food delivery app, and squint for a long time.

He seldom asks who eats what, but the dishes on the dinner table in the end always try to include everyone's taste as much as possible.

Due to the long-term exchange of existence, the two companies simply shared the door code.

Once Yu Ao, Tie Nan, Jin Jing, and Guan Chao were on a business trip for more than a week at the same time, Liu Shengying took care of two dogs at home alone.

When not busy, Jin Jing, Liu Shengying, and Guanchao will go to Yu'ao’s house from time to time to hold script killings and werewolf killing activities.

After Jin Jing participates in a variety show recording, he will come back to play a show game with everyone.

After recording "Let's Run" last year, Jin Jing took back his famous brand and took everyone to play "Tear the Famous Brand" in the garden downstairs in the evening.

Although everyone posted the name "Jin Jing" behind them.

A while ago, the TV series "I'm Very Good in Another Country" starring Jin Jing was broadcast. Tetsuo also bought members of that video platform to watch it first for everyone to watch.

It didn't take long for Guanchao to participate in the TV series, and his role was only a few minutes, but at Guanchao's "request", everyone still sat together and watched him fast forward to his own clips over and over.

Regarding friction, “There’s really no in life, because a few of us are very easy to talk.” Yu Ao paused for a moment, “Maybe it’s just two dogs...” Regarding the education of the two dogs "Junier" and "Xiao Bai", The two companies have always been "stalemate."

Jin Jing once proposed to take two dogs to a professional school for training, but Yu Ao insisted that his "children" decide for themselves.

Every time Yu Ao finishes cutting his hair on Junior, everyone will complain about "not good-looking", but Yu Ao still thinks how handsome Junior is...

Intimacy and alienation, trivial but not messy.

These two houses are no longer just a place to accommodate life, but to draw individual souls in a foreign land closer to each other, allowing them to gradually become participants, witnesses, and companions in each other's lives.

"Co-creation" is the key to comedy

Living together, you can better find the creative "hands"

The emphasis on "co-creation" in "Annual Comedy Competition" allowed the two small families to be reorganized into two comedy teams.

Jin Jing and Liu Shengying, who have cooperated for many years, formed "Jinying Baby", Tie Nan, Yang Fan, and Guan Chao established "Chaoyang Boy", and Yu Ao became the screenwriter behind their creation.

The six people moved the office to their home.

The authoring meeting usually starts with a blank document.

Several people are sitting around a long table in the living room, only the chair in front of the computer is empty-the people sitting here have to perform multiple functions such as creation, recording, and sorting.

In the past few years, when Yang Fan went to Yu'ao and Tie Nan’s to create sitcoms, this position was still on a shift system; nowadays, when there are more people, it is completely reduced to "consciousness". Often, whoever chooses to sit here will occupy at least one position. Half an hour.

"We all prefer to stroll around." Guan Chao said with a smile.

Yu Ao was the first to sit down the most times, followed by the iron man who saw Yu Ao wink.

Until Tie Nan sighed, "I can't do it anymore, I can't turn my mind", Yang Fan took over.

As long as everyone stands up, they will pray silently in their hearts, "TA will definitely be solved, there is no need to sit down!"

Fortunately, the family atmosphere makes everyone's creative state extremely relaxed.

In Liu Shengying’s memory, people usually talk about creativity in the company, and everyone can only sit back and forth, but at home, every time a fun idea is chatted, there will always be someone in the middle of the living room talking, acting, and interacting; sometimes Everyone can't write anything, and there will be people who "go crazy" intermittently. For example, Jin Jing and Guan Chao once danced strange dances in the room.

"Anyway, it's very lively, it really makes me think it's too fun." Liu Shengying said with a smile.

However, in fact, such family co-creation has not been experienced for a long time.

"We originally wanted everyone to live together, and we would be able to create something special, but we didn't expect that a few children would have a meal after chatting, and everyone would start ordering takeaways; after eating the takeaways, we watched again. Movie." Liu Shengying said.

Later, the director of Mi Wei could only invite the six of them back to the company office.

But under one roof, I have witnessed the A and B aspects of everyone's life, fed back to the characterization and performance, and they can dig into a more agile and life observation perspective almost without even deliberately.

In Yuao's view, comedy works owe more to the interpretation of the actors on stage.

When screenwriters don't know the actors well, they often don't know how to create a suitable image for them. After understanding the cuteness of the other party, they can better look for creative "grabbing hands".

For example, Yu Ao once thought that Guanchao was a cool guy who could dance hip-hop and sing; but after living together, he found that he also had a very "stupid" side in life, like every time he talked about creation at home. Sit aside and wait for a long time to get into the rhythm.

So whether it is "Laugh!

The absurd officer in Piolevich is still Money!

The grassroots deceived by consumerism in "Ah", Yu Ao all portrays life's cold, stubborn, but cute and simple energy, and enlarges it as much as possible in the role.

Jin Jing still remembers that yogurt hemp was very popular on the Internet for a while. Yu Ao may have mentioned that he had seen it in a short video. The next day, Tie Nan bought two large bags of yogurt hemp.

At the end of "When a Man Steps into the Civil Affairs Bureau", the boy once said to the girl that no matter what she becomes, he can accept it.

When rehearsing, Jin Jing always imagined that this sentence was what Tetsuo said to Ao, "Every time I think about what Yu Ao becomes, Tetsuo will really always love her, accept her, and then I will Very touched and very well integrated into the performance."

  Sometimes

I’m decorating my small home, but my family will always be my family

"The Annual Comedy Contest" is about to end, and several people who seem to be returning to life are all making new plans for the next life.

The new homes belonging to Ao and Tetsuo have long been renovated step by step, and the world of the two is only a matter of time.

And Jin Jing, Liu Shengying and Guan Chao will also enter a new life state in the future.

Back when the ending of "Friends" was aired, Monica and Chandler adopted a child after they got married and bought a bigger house; Ross and Rachel reunited and reorganized their small family; Phoebe also married Everyone moved out of the apartment they had lived with for ten years and started a new life.

Many people think that this ending is a bit too sad, like the iron fist of reality smashing the ideal of "utopia".

But this seems to be the most satisfactory ending-the reality of the family is inherently narrow, and everyone can only broaden and enrich it to a limited extent.

Talking about the matter of going to live apart, several people seemed to have a tacit understanding.

However, I still want to live closer.

Almost everyone gave similar answers.

Liu Shengying envisioned that if you live closer and have children in the future, everyone can throw the children at each other's house, just like when her mother always took her to visit her aunt's house when she was young.

Yu Ao and Tetsuo also thought that if they could live closer, everyone could go to their new home to have a meal and play games together; if they had anything to do with each other, they could help each other.

After the rational decision, now, the few of them think most about whether to organize a group to Sanya or somewhere to rest for two days after the "Annual Comedy Competition".

Jin Jing and Guanchao occasionally ran into each other at home, and thought they would stop working and play games together for a while.

Why do these young people always think about getting together after getting married and getting married?

This is the greatest curiosity of the outside world about them.

Yu Ao gave us an answer: "Because people are afraid of being alone, no one likes to stay alone."

She once read a report that the proportion of young people living alone in a big city was so high that she felt it was outrageous.

Many young people working hard in big cities can only live in a cubicle alone because of expensive rent.

Every day the rental house and the company line two o'clock and one line, the subway commuting is always crowded, but they go to work alone and go home alone.

Such a state of mind made Yu Ao a little uncomfortable.

She once thought that without these friends, certain moments in her life would be extremely lonely and long.

Even if young people don't want to admit it, everyone naturally needs and seeks for the company.

In the future, Yu Ao may continue to create sitcoms with the theme of young people's lives, but the difference is that the characters and stories will definitely be more abundant than a few years ago.

"We don't have to get together to resolve things, but only yearn for the mutual support and company of a big family, just a family relationship." This is the short-lived but high-profile reality version of "Friends" that Yu Ao gave them. The definition of warmth.
