Chris Evans is expected to step into the shoes of actor Gene Kelly soon.
The interpreter of Captain America had the idea of a film starring a 12-year-old boy, an employee of MGM studios in 1952, where the legend of
Singin 'in the Rain
is working on his next feature film.
The teenager then develops an imaginary friendship with his idol.
To play the legendary actor, Chris Evans - who is also co-producing the project - has thought to himself, and negotiations have started, according to Deadline.
If nothing has yet been formalized, the project seems solid since several names are circulating, and not the least.

To support him in production, Chris Evans has teamed up with Mark Kassen, Rian Johnson (
Star Wars
), Ram Bergman (
Knives Out
) and three-time Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan (
Skyfall
,
Aviator
).
The latter should also write the script.
2022 will in any case be a year rich in projects for Chris Evans, who will notably be starring in
The Gray Man
by the Russo brothers, also with Regé-Jean Page and Ana de Armas, and will lend his voice to Buzz Lightyear in the next movie in the
Toy Story
franchise .
