Including masks with a fan .. advanced technologies to combat the Corona virus

The Las Vegas Electronics Show, which opens Wednesday, is filled with a wide range of innovations, which can be seen in a preview organized on Monday, including cute robots, advanced technologies to combat the Corona virus, speakers, lamps, toothbrushes, and a large number of electrical devices and autonomous devices.

The number of exhibitors and participants in the Consumer Electronic Show will be lower than expected, as many companies have canceled due to the proliferation of Omicron.

Advanced mask against covid

And the French startup "Erixom" brought from Lyon a model of its muzzle that protects against pollution, bacteria and viruses, including SARS-CoV2.

The white plastic mask that covers the nose and mouth is reminiscent of the soldiers of the "Star Wars" series.

It is connected to a belt device that contains a filter that destroys fine particles and volatile organic compounds, ie pathogens or pollutants.

Eric Glezal, co-founder of "Ericsom", confirms that this mask is "an excellent tool to combat the Covid-19 crisis, because the person will not need to receive the fourth, fifth and sixth doses of the vaccine, and will protect himself from all virus mutants and from future new viruses."

As for the engineer at "Ericsom" Trong Dai Nguyen, he explains that "the traditional ordinary masks do not protect completely, as air can enter through its sides, but this mask is completely protected and is very comfortable when placed on the face."

Nguyen confirms that the company will work in the next version of the masks to improve the sound quality of those who wear it, as it is not clearly heard due to the thickness of the current model, which is launched on the market during the spring and will be sold "for about 300 euros".

Nguyen explains that the cost of replacing the currently approved (surgical) mask every four hours, after three years, will be higher than the price of the Erexom mask.

fan under the mask

As for Eric Fochar, fed up with the feeling of suffocation caused by the current protective masks from Covid-19, so he devised a small ventilation system that is placed behind the paper barrier of the mask.

Dubbed the "Ironist", this tiny ventilator, created by startup New Bad Maker, is held in place by double magnets and powered by a small battery attached to a cord that runs around the user's neck.

"When you are on a plane or train, this device enables you to breathe normally," businessman Fochard told AFP. "It can also be used while working, and eyeglass wearers avoid the formation of vapor on their glasses bottles due to breathing."

He explains that it is possible to control the fan speed as needed.
