At present, all cases have been isolated and treated in designated isolation hospitals, and their condition is stable.

All local epidemic-related sites have strictly carried out classified control and environmental elimination in accordance with epidemic prevention and control regulations.

　　Wang Renyuan, deputy secretary-general of the Ningbo Municipal Government, director of the General Office, and executive deputy director of the Municipal Office of Epidemic Prevention and Control, said that the Beilun epidemic mainly has the following characteristics: First, the genes of the first case specimens were evaluated by the Zhejiang Province and Ningbo Municipal Disease Control Departments. Sequencing shows that it is a delta variant of the new crown pneumonia virus (AY.57 evolutionary branch), which has high genomic sequence homology with the main virus strains in Vietnam recently.

Second, all cases were found through active screening.

Among the 23 cases, 11 cases were found in centralized isolation point screening, 11 cases were found in community screening, and 1 case was found in medical institution screening.

The third is that the cases are clustered.

The cases are highly concentrated in the third garment workshop of Shenzhou Company in Beilun District, and the activity track is relatively simple and clear.

Fourth, the symptoms of the infected are mild.

Among the 23 cases of infection, 19 were mild and 4 were normal.

At the same time, the source of the virus is still unclear.

According to expert analysis and judgment, the possibility of "passing from person to person" is not ruled out.

　　Up to now, Beilun has completed two rounds of nucleic acid tests for all employees in the "three zones" of the enclosed control zone, the control zone, and the prevention zone. A total of 899,000 cases have been tested and 11 cases of positive infections have been reported.

On January 3, the third round of nucleic acid testing was carried out, and a total of 428,050 samples were sampled. As of 20:00 on the 3rd, 335,380 samples had been reported, all of which were negative.
