As a countermeasure against accidents and terrorism caused by unmanned aerial vehicles such as drones, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is accepting applications online, etc. before the registration of information such as owners is obligatory from June.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, with the spread of unmanned aerial vehicles such as drones, accidents and loss are on the rise, but there are many cases where the owner of the aircraft cannot be identified.

For this reason, from June 20th, a system to register information such as owners for all unmanned aerial vehicles weighing 100 grams or more that fly outdoors has started, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is accepting applications.

Under this system, after applying for the name and address of the owner or user of the unmanned aerial vehicle online or by mail, as well as the manufacturer and model of the aircraft, the registration code to be issued will be displayed on the aircraft. Is obligatory.

If you fly without registration, you will be punished with imprisonment for up to 1 year or a fine of up to 500,000 yen for violating the Aviation Law, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is calling for early registration.
