“Hydrocarbons ended up in our sewer network and were carried to the canal,” specifies Philippe Billant, director of the La Mède platform.

The presence of these hydrocarbons in the platform's sewer network remains unexplained to this day.
According to Philippe Billant, "this presence was detected over an area of 10 m² and is measured more in liters than in cubic meters".
Total management claims to have notified the authorities, and hopes for a return to normal by Tuesday morning.
