On January 28, the first part of the documentary "Janet" will be released, which depicts the artist Janet Jackson's life.

Behind the production is the American TV company A&E and the channel Lifetime.

The singer has also collaborated with the documentary makers and participates in the film herself, reports Rolling Stone.

In a newly released trailer, other actors such as Missy Elliott, Janelle Monae, Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Mariah Carey, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry and Q-tip can be seen.

This is the second documentary about Janet to be released at intervals of just a few months.

In November, the streaming service Hulu released "Malfunction", which is about Janet Jackson's Super Bowl performance with Justin Timberlake in 2004. A performance that became a world news as Timberlake exposed Jackson's breasts on stage during prime time.

The documentary "Janet" is said to have taken five years to create.

Both Janet and her brother Randy Jackson are executive producers.
