An official source in the Public Prosecution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stated that, based on what was submitted by the Parliamentary Monitoring Center regarding the promotion and dissemination of narcotics and psychotropic substances through a social media program, the Public Prosecutor Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujeb issued an order to quickly arrest the aforementioned based on the two articles. (15 and 17) of the Code of Criminal Procedure and refer them to the Public Prosecution.

The source indicated that the offender faces the penalties prescribed in accordance with Article 38 of the Law on Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, the penalty of which is imprisonment for a period of (15) years, in addition to financial fines and confiscation of funds gained from the promotion process, while the other person who appeared in the content faces a charge of covering up The crime, according to Al-Marsad newspaper.

The source confirmed that the Parliamentary Monitoring Center is following up on everything that would infringe the security of society, and will take all criminal measures to combat the crime committed through the information network circulating in the Kingdom.
