Mabrouk Attia: "I swear to God that I do not listen to songs, and all my life I have been busy with science and education"

The professor at Al-Azhar University, Mabrouk Attia, confirmed that art is permissible and forbidden, saying: "I swear by God and I do not have to swear that I do not hear songs," noting that throughout his life he was not free for that;

Because of his preoccupation with education and science.

Attia explained, during an interview with the satellite channel (mbc Egypt), that his children, like him, do not have any artistic interests, but not to the extent that they turn off the television or radio if there is a song in it.

He noted that the Prophet, "may God bless him and grant him peace," listened to the poem "Bant Souad, my heart is pissed off today," which was "chaste spinning," asking, "What is chaste spinning in it when you hear it? And what is the kind and soft word in it?"

Attia congratulated the Egyptian people on the occasion of the New Year, saying, "Every Egyptian is healthy, safe and happy, every Muslim is healthy and happy, every Christian is healthy and happy, and every brick on the land of Egypt is in health and happiness."
