[Explanation] As of 24:00 on December 31, 2021, Shaanxi Province has reported a total of 1475 local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in this round of the epidemic.

It has been more than 20 days since the outbreak occurred. At present, these patients are concentrated in several designated hospitals in Xi'an for treatment?

How is the patient's treatment?

Can medical resources be effectively guaranteed?

How to effectively implement classified treatment for patients of different age groups?

With these questions in mind, the reporter interviewed Yang Yi, a medical treatment expert in the Shaanxi Working Group of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism Comprehensive Group of the State Council, and director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Zhongda Hospital, Southeast University.

We have now prepared a total of more than 40 medical teams from Shaanxi and Xi'an, which are distributed in designated hospitals. These medical teams are integrated to receive wards and provide medical treatment.

At the national level, we have also prepared our national-level medical treatment experts and hospital-sensing experts to participate in the treatment work with the locals.

We have opened 3 designated hospitals, and the fourth designated hospital is also ready.

All the beds should be more than 3000.

According to the current epidemic situation, our medical resources can ensure adequate treatment of current patients.

[Explanation] So how to effectively implement classified treatment for patients of different age groups, especially how to implement more detailed treatment for 90-year-old elderly patients and infants less than 1 year old?

In general, these patients are still mainly mild and common types.

There are actually severe patients, so far there should be 11 patients, and their condition is relatively stable.

We see that most of the severe patients are older and have many underlying diseases. So in fact, sometimes the new crown of these patients may not be particularly serious, but the underlying disease may be more serious than the new crown.

So we actually have a multi-disciplinary team every day. On the one hand, we must actively treat the new crown. On the other hand, our multi-disciplinary teams also actively treat the primary and underlying diseases.

So for children, in fact, we have a specially equipped pediatric team to do such treatments.

At the same time, we have also strengthened the power of nursing.

In fact, by strengthening nursing, we can do better fine management, so that patients can recover better.

[Commentary] Yang Yi said that starting from December 29, 2021, patients have been discharged one after another, and rehabilitation hospitals are now ready to better perform health monitoring and rehabilitation management for these discharged patients.
