Rescue of an Iraqi child who fell into a narrow well, 35 meters deep

A video clip showed the moment of saving a child who fell Thursday night into a well, 35 meters deep, in the Taza area, south of Kirkuk Governorate in Iraq.

The Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate stated that it had received a report that a child had fallen into a narrow well, and the rescue teams had rushed to retrieve him, noting that the child was safe and in good health.

And the Directorate of Civil Defense confirmed, in a statement on Facebook, that it was able to rescue a Turkmen child with autism who fell at night into a narrow artesian well at a depth of 35 meters in the area of ​​Taza district, south of Kirkuk governorate.

The statement stated that the rescue teams used oxygen cylinders and lowered tubes inside the well to provide the child with oxygen, in conjunction with the use of excavators and heavy rescue equipment.
