Omicron's most prominent symptom 'can be heard before it can be felt'

A new study revealed that a change in the tone of the voice may be a symptom of infection with the new Corona virus mutant, Omicron.

According to the British newspaper, “Metro”, the study conducted by researchers at King’s College Hospital in London indicated that the most important thing that distinguishes Omicron from other variants of the virus is that it “can be heard before it is felt”, as one of the most important possible symptoms of the variable is the sound. husky;

The team noted that a hoarse voice is often caused by a sore throat, which is also one of the most common symptoms of the Omicron mutant.

Professor Tim Spector, who was involved in the study, said they came to this conclusion via the ZOE Covid smartphone app that Omicron patients log their symptoms with.

Spector added, "We hope that people are well aware that the symptoms of (Omicron) are very similar to a cold, and therefore if anyone experiences any of the symptoms of a cold, they should take a test to detect corona."

According to the ZOE Covid app, the other top symptoms of Omicron are a runny nose, headache, body aches, night sweats, lower back pain and fatigue.

A number of sufferers have also reported a rare symptom, a 'rash'.

The COVID-19 epidemic has killed at least 5,421,160 people worldwide since the World Health Organization's office in China reported the outbreak at the end of 2019 in China.

The United States is the country most affected in terms of deaths, as 822,920 people died, followed by Brazil, India and Russia.

The WHO estimates that the actual outcome may be two to three times higher.
