Nicolas Cage refuses to be called an "actor"

For Nicolas Cage, the qualifier "actor" does not correspond to his relationship to comedy.

As he explained during a stint on the Variety

prefers to be referred to using the term “comedian”.

“For me that always means saying, 'Oh, he's a great actor, and therefore he's a great liar,' he explained.

So, at the risk of sounding like a pretentious asshole, I prefer the term comedian, because comedian means that you go there with your heart, or with your imagination, your memories or your dreams, and you bring something to communicate with the public.
