An Egyptian citizen killed his wife and children in Beni Suef Governorate in Upper Egypt, by putting rat poison in a dinner prepared by his wife.

He added that after they ate stuffed food, the collapse began on the wife and his three children, and he closed the door on him for fear of hearing their voices of pain, and the accused revealed that he had purchased rat poison from a store in Al-Wasta city on the pretext of eliminating mice in his house, and that after their death, he went out of the house and met The owner of the property, and informed him of the death of his family due to poisoning due to stuffing.

Investigations revealed that the accused worked in a "tea and coffee stitch", that his wife was helping him to live, and that he was going through financial hardship as the reason for his crime.

The Public Prosecution Office of Beni Suef, Mustafa Al-Matnawi, decided to detain the accused for 4 days pending investigations.
