Yamaguchi Prefecture announced on the 30th that it was confirmed that nine new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
Six of them are suspected of being infected with the mutant virus, Omicron strain.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Yamaguchi Prefecture to 5833.
