On December 26, the C487/8 inter-city EMU train with a bright green "Hulk" throughout the vehicle drove from Hohhot East Station to Linhe Station in Bayannaoer City for the first time.
This is also the shortest running time train between Hohhot and Bayannaoer.
After the launch of this train, passengers who take the train from Linhe Station can transfer to Beijing High Speed Rail at Hohhot East Station. The time to enter Beijing has been shortened from the current 13 hours and 18 minutes to 5 hours and 58 minutes.
The C487/8 train uses the CR200J "Fuxing" power-concentrated EMU car body. Compared with ordinary trains, the seats are wider, the angle can be adjusted, and the leg space is more spacious.
The cabin is also equipped with a WiFi (wireless network) system, and each seat is equipped with a multi-function socket with a USB interface.
The newly launched C487/8 intercity EMU train has a total capacity of 720 people, and a caring beeper is installed in the carriage to provide key services and assistance to passengers in need.
