Osaka Prefecture announced that it has been newly confirmed that eight men and women in their teens to 50s in the prefecture are infected with the new mutant virus "Omicron strain" of the new coronavirus.



According to the prefecture, 3 out of 8 people have no contact with people who have been confirmed to be infected with the Omicron strain, and the prefecture says that there is a possibility of a new community-acquired infection.



As a result, a total of 19 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Omicron strain in a survey conducted by Osaka Prefecture.
