A British study warns: Half of those who show symptoms of cold are infected with “Corona”

British researchers have warned that suffering from a sore throat, runny nose and headache, means there is a high possibility of infection with the Corona virus.

And according to the British Broadcasting Corporation “BBC”, the Bohsi team involved in tracking the epidemic estimated that half of the people who suffer from cold-like symptoms are already infected with “Covid”.

The team says there has been an "explosion" of Covid cases over the past week, driven by the new Omicron mutant.

Corona infected about 144,000 people a day and then feel unwell.

For most people, Covid is a mild illness.

Some do not show any symptoms at all.

But it can still cause very serious symptoms in some people, including those who haven't been vaccinated.

If you develop cold-like symptoms, you should get a coronavirus test, advises chief scientist Professor Tim Spector.

"The number of new symptomatic cases exploded last week," Spector said.

"For most people, those infected with the OMICRON mutation closely resemble those of the common cold, ranging from sore throats, runny nose and headaches.

All you have to do is ask a friend of yours who was recently infected with an omicron mutant to find out.

“We need to urgently change public messaging to save lives,” the chief scientist stressed. The new cases of coronavirus in Britain on Wednesday reached 10,6,122 cases, surpassing 100,000 in a single day for the first time.

With infections doubling every two to three days, experts say, British health officials are concerned about the strain this could put on the NHS.

Preliminary studies indicate that the Omicron mutant is less dangerous, as the number of people who develop serious complications as a result of infection with it is much lower compared to other mutant variants.

But the massive wave of infections will still mean that many people require hospital care, as well as many doctors and nurses having to miss work due to COVID-19.

Continuous testing helps detect cases of infection in people who may not have symptoms but are still a source of infection, which means they can transmit the virus to others.
