[Explanation] The fingers circulate and pluck the strings on the pipa and sing elegant lyrics and music in the mouth, adding a classical beauty to the campus.

In front of me, more than 20 pupils from the Sixth Experimental Primary School in Xiang'an District, Xiamen, followed Lin Sumei from Taiwan to sing Nanyin, the "living fossil of music" that has been passed down for thousands of years.

[Explanation] Towards the end of the fall semester of 2021, Lin Sumei, the Fujian provincial non-genetic inheritor of the Nanyin Project, and Ou Lihua, the former Xiamen Nan Orchestra singing team leader and the non-genetic inheritor of Siming District, came to Xiang'an District No. 6 Experimental Primary School , To bring three classic songs from Nanyin to the students in a row.

This is the first time that non-genetic inheritors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait have joined hands to enrich the extended service after class.

When I first came into contact with this new thing, I might feel that I had to memorize so many scores again. It was troublesome and tired, but when I actually learned it, I felt that some parts of it were the same, and I wrote it down. It’s not that difficult. After you come into contact with it, you will have an understanding of it. After you understand it, it will be deep in your mind. Sometimes you can remember it after a little review.

[Explanation] As the traditional music of Southern Fujian, Nanyin sings in Southern Fujian, with a large number of repertoires, ancient instruments and self-contained notation methods, continuing the blood of traditional Han music since the Tang and Song Dynasties.

It is one of the contents of UNESCO's representative list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind.

Lin Sumei, who was born in Yongchun, Fujian, was born in Malaysia and then settled in Taiwan. She spoke Minnan dialect from elementary school and was deeply influenced by Nanyin. She told reporters that it is an honor to return to southern Fujian and exchange Nanyin culture. This is also the dream of the ancestors for many years.

I was born in Malaysia, because of family traditions, because my grandfather and my ancestors came to Malaysia from southern Fujian, so in their spare time they would use the local accent to soothe such homesickness. Then I grew up. I learned Nanyin at the age of ten, and it has been more than forty years now, so I have never stopped in my entire life.

[Explanation] Lin Sumei was very pleased when she walked into the campus and looked at the little heads that were tumbling in the classroom, with curious eyes one by one.

She said that the inheritors of Nanyin on both sides of the strait have their own characteristics. Teacher Ou Lihua from Xiamen is good at teaching traditional music, while Lin Sumei herself brings Taiwan’s newly created Nanyin repertoire composed of poems such as "Quiet Night Thoughts". She hopes that children will learn from their curiosity. When I got to know, I even liked Shangnanyin.

Using our poetry Nanyin to enter the campus to teach these children, the teaching efficiency is relatively high, the students are more acceptable, and they also like to learn.

Under this kind of teaching through the cooperation of inheritors from both sides of the strait, the content of Nanyin that children come into contact with will be more comprehensive and comprehensive.

【Explanation】Xiang'an District, Xiamen City has a deep accumulation of traditional culture and is a fertile ground for the inheritance and development of Nanyin.

At the beginning, the delay after class is mainly for tutoring homework or guiding self-directed learning, so as to alleviate the situation of "no one to take over" students after school.

The introduction of post-class post-class services in non-heritage projects is a useful attempt by the Xiamen Xiang'an Youth League District Committee and the Xiang'an District Education Bureau.

This event is a solid advancement of our double reduction policy. We have invited teachers from both sides of the strait to teach the children together. On the one hand, it can promote exchanges between youths on both sides of the strait. Children can get better services in the after-school (delayed) service, and they can also further improve their overall quality.

[Explanation] In recent years, Xiamen Xiang’an Youth League District Committee has focused on the "Medium and Long-term Youth Development Plan" and has worked hard to enhance the cultural self-confidence of young people. More than 1,000 teachers and students benefited.
