Vahid Halilhodzic, the coach of the Morocco team, has unveiled a list of 25 players selected to play the next African Cup of Nations (CAN 2021), scheduled from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.

Unsurprisingly, the technician did not retain midfielders Hakim Ziyech and Younès Belhanda, with whom he is cold.

On the other hand, center forward Youssef En-Nesyri, who is returning from injury, is among the conscripts for CAN 2021.

No Hakim Ziyech, Noussair Mazraoui or Younès Belhanda at the next African Cup of Nations (

CAN 2021

), scheduled from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon. Unsurprisingly, coach Vahid Halilhodzic decided to do without playmaker Chelsea (England), Ajax Amsterdam side (Netherlands) and attacking midfielder Adana Demirspor (Turkey) during CAN 2021. The Bosnian is indeed in the cold with these three talented binationals.

Another highlight of his list of 25 players summoned: only one comes from the Moroccan league, Botola Pro 1. This is Raja goalkeeper Anas Zniti.

Despite the excellent results of Moroccan clubs in the African Club Cups or the coronation of the local national team during the previous African Nations Championship (CHAN 2020), Vahid Halilhodzic therefore drew heavily on the pool of expatriate players and binational.

On the other hand, the Atlas Lions will be able to rely on their center forward Youssef En-Nesyri.

Injured for several weeks, he was uncertain for CAN 2021. He will be one of the three Sevillians in the group with goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and striker Munir El Haddadi.

As a reminder, Morocco will face Ghana (January 10), Comoros (January 14) and Gabon (January 18), in Group C of CAN 2021.
