The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will strengthen the system of a follow-up center to observe the health of people who are being treated at home in preparation for the spread of infection with the new mutant virus of the new corona, Omicron strain.

In preparation for the spread of infection by the Omicron strain, Tokyo will expand the number of lines at the "Fever Counseling Center" from the current 70 lines to 100 lines for people with fever who do not have a family doctor.

In addition, the follow-up center, which observes the health of people undergoing medical treatment at home, will increase the number of corresponding nurses and public health nurses from the current 150 to 250.

Regarding home recuperation, problems such as difficulty in connecting to follow-up calls occurred in the fifth wave of the explosive spread of infection.

Furthermore, in order to reduce the burden on the health center, the city has decided to establish a system in which medical institutions perform health observations for home care recipients on behalf of the health center.

In addition, if the infection spreads, the facility will temporarily accept people who cannot be hospitalized immediately at a medical institution, and will resume the 46 beds of the "hospitalization waiting station" that is currently suspended.

Furthermore, if the infection spreads, the "Oxygen / Medical Service Station" that administers oxygen will be expanded from the current 110 beds to 270 beds promptly.

In addition, in order to allow asymptomatic and mildly infected people to enter the accommodation facility promptly, we have set up a telephone number, 03-5320-5997, where you can apply directly without going through the health center.
