About 30 people attended the discussion meeting held in Iida City, including representatives of prefectures and municipalities involved in linear construction, and Vice President Mamoru Uno of JR Central.



Among them, regarding the accident in which a worker was injured at the tunnel construction site in Toyooka Village in November, Vice President Uno said, "I would like to investigate the cause and take safety measures to prevent recurrence. ".



Regarding the station to be built in Iida City, he said, "I would like to hold a briefing session for residents and start preparatory work in the future."



The discussion meeting was held privately except at the beginning, and according to the prefecture, JR Tokai reported on the progress of construction work in the prefecture and the examination status of the cause of the accident that occurred in Toyooka village, and each municipality reported. Opinions were given on safety measures when transporting the surplus soil generated by tunnel construction and construction.



After the discussion meeting, Vice President Uno said that he plans to announce the cause of the accident in Toyooka Village soon, and said, "I would like to start construction of stations in the prefecture by the end of the year."
