On December 21, Xing Yongbin, a white porcelain craftsman from Xing kiln, is making Xing porcelain works in the Xing Porcelain Cultural Experience Hall in Neiqiu County, Hebei Province.
According to textual research, Xing kiln white porcelain was first fired in the Northern Dynasty, developed in the Sui Dynasty, and reached its peak during the Tang Dynasty. It was a royal kiln factory.
The Xing kiln created white porcelain and ended the dominance of celadon since the Shang and Zhou dynasties. It formed two major porcelain systems, "Southern Blue and North White". It was the earliest white porcelain kiln in northern my country.
As the main inheritance of Xing kiln culture, Neiqiu County has been committed to excavating and protecting Xing kiln culture, developing and inheriting Xing kiln ceramic firing techniques.
At present, Neiqiu County has successfully developed more than ten kinds of stable clay tires and glazes, and has been able to fire dozens of typical antique Xing kiln artifacts, and continue to carry out innovative development on the basis of inheritance.
