• An effortless Christmas: how to make a dinner for eight for less than 300 euros

This picky mother-in-law-proof menu consists of two starters and a main course, which will

What better gift for Christmas

than to put on the table an easy and tasty recipe.

For the first of the entrees, we will have to preheat the oven to 180 degrees. This simple appetizer is based on a

Camembert cheese

, which we will cut at the top with a diamond-shaped pattern. We add

chopped nuts and fresh blueberries

to the cuts and

Meanwhile, we will use the other half of the oven for the second starter: some

roasted prawns with lime juice and pineapple

Crush some garlic cloves and mix them with pieces of chopped pineapple.

We add oil and salt and water the prawns, which we have previously placed on a heat-resistant tray.

We leave them in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees and before serving, we sprinkle with a few drops of lime juice.

Easy recipes: browned with salt

Our main dish for the Christmas menu will be a sea bream with salt that we will accompany with some potatoes to the importance. This white fish is a

source of vitamins and antioxidants

and to cook it we will need at least two kilos of coarse salt, which we will mix with half a cup of water. When the mixture has acquired texture, spread a layer of one centimeter on the tray and place the bream on top.

On the piece we spread the rest of the salt in a generous blanket and let it cook for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.

One

trick that never fails

is to poke a hole in the salt coating over the eye of the bream.

When it turns completely white, we will know that it is time to remove it from the oven.

In addition, we must remove the salt crust after about five minutes to prevent the fish from being too salty.

For the accompaniment, we will have to

cut the potatoes into very thin slices

and chop up some onion rings.

In another container, we melt 50 grams of butter, mix them with four tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and add salt, pepper and aromatic herbs to our liking.

We pour the mixture over the potatoes and the onion and put the fish in the oven, although in this case the dish will have to cook for 30 minutes, just when we have removed the salt crust from the bream.
