Since the announcements of Prime Minister Jean Castex last week, appointments for first-time vaccinations have started to rise again.

50,000 first-time injections were identified on Tuesday.

At the vaccination center of Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes, the first-vaccinated explain to the microphone of Europe why they finally decided to protect themselves against the virus.

The Omicron variant is gaining ground but our vaccine shield is also strengthening, said Gabriel Attal on Tuesday.

The government spokesperson hopes that the vaccination pass will be adopted on January 15.

The prospect of this new pass encourages many refractories to take the plunge.

Nearly 50.00 first-time injections were identified on Tuesday across France.

In Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes, the first-time vaccines are more and more numerous.

The refractories end up resigning themselves

With 500 people vaccinated every day, two doctors, seven nurses, the Grasse center, located in the city's Palais des Congrès, is one of the main vaccination sites in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Many are there to receive the booster, but there are also more and more candidates for the first dose.

"There are an average of twenty first-time vaccines per day over the week. Either these are people who finally decide to be vaccinated for their work or to travel, or because they have had a long Covid", explains Johan Tatin, the director of the vaccination center.

"We have some recalcitrant who come backwards to the vaccination centers and who end up being convinced and others who, in the end, even with the dialogue that sets up with the doctor, give up on being vaccinated" , he laments.

"I don't see why I should have a little health concern"

The government announcements have, according to him, motivated many refractory to be vaccinated. "We had an announcement effect of the government on the most recalcitrant, the hardest, those who come with a very strong speech in the vaccination center. They tell us that it is forced and forced that they have been caught. as hostages and that it is inadmissible ", relates Johan Tatin.

Sarah, 24, has decided to take the plunge.

"Like many people, I was scared in the sense that I told myself that we might not have enough perspective on this vaccine. That's what made me hesitate a little. But now, I tell me that the vaccine has been available for almost two years. I do not see why I would have a little health concerns. And for work, it became mandatory in a medical environment. So I have no choice. "

Like those over 65, those who have finally decided to be vaccinated for the first time are given priority.

Two million vaccination slots will be added by the end of the year.
