Moderna announces good news about the booster dose of the Corona vaccine

The American company Moderna announced good news about its anti-Coronavirus vaccine, and said in a press statement, today, Monday, that the booster dose of its anti-Coronavirus vaccine significantly increases the body's immune protection against the Omicron mutant.

The company explained that the level of neutralizing antibodies to the virus after taking the activation dose to the permissible extent increases by about 37 times compared to its level after taking the second dose.

The researchers analyzed the level of antibodies 29 days after taking the booster dose.

It is reported that the permissible amount in the booster dose for most people is 50 micrograms of the vaccine (one millionth of a gram), and this amount is equivalent to half the amount given in each of the first and second doses.

Moderna said that taking a booster dose of 100 micrograms, after the same indicated period, increased the level of neutralizing antibodies by 83-fold.

There is no data yet showing how long the effect lasts after taking the booster dose of Moderna's mRNA-1273 vaccine, and the company is working on developing a booster vaccine for the Omicron mutant.
