[Explanation] Recently, a 15-year-old boy from Pingdingshan, Henan Province, Liu Mokun posted a video on an online platform stating that his father was beaten and died of a cerebral hemorrhage after not signing the demolition agreement. Now the developer is not fulfilling the contract, and his grandparents cannot take care of themselves.
[Explanation] The incident aroused concern, and local officials continued to respond on the 16th and 17th.
On the 16th, the local street office stated that it had provided help to Liu's family. His father was beaten and the case was solved. The developer's project is currently undergoing reorganization procedures.
On the 17th, Zhanhe District of Pingdingshan issued the "Explanation on Liu Kun's Online Help Request."
[Explanation] The content of the official response shows that Lianhuapen Village, Beidu Street, Zhanhe District, Pingdingshan, started the transformation of the urban village in 2011.
In November 2017, Liu Mokun’s father was beaten; in May 2019, Liu Mokun’s grandfather Liu signed an agreement with the developer; in May 2020, according to the relevant agreement, it was agreed that the developer should deliver two houses in the first batch. However, the project stalled and failed to deliver the house as scheduled; in April 2021, Liu Mokun moved to the sales department of the project together with his grandfather, grandma, and father; on November 15, 2021, Liu Mokun's father died of illness.
