A person was attacked with a knife at a festival in Los Angeles.

As the police announced, she was alerted on Saturday evening because of a stab wound in the concert hall.

The victim had been taken to hospital with "serious injuries" and the investigation was ongoing.

The authorities did not provide information about the identity of the victim, as several US media unanimously report, but it is the rapper Drakeo The Ruler.

As a witness reported to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, the 28-year-old musician was attacked by a group of several people in the backstage area.

It should have come to the stab wound.

The "TMZ" portal reported a little later that the rapper had succumbed to his injuries.

A confirmation from the authorities is still pending.

Drakeo The Ruler was due to perform alongside artists such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Ice Cube at a festival at Exposition Park in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The organizers canceled the event shortly after the incident.

The festival ended prematurely, all concerts were over, it said on Twitter.

The visitors were asked to leave the premises.

Drakeo The Ruler, whose real name is Darrell Caldwell, had 2015 with the song "Mr.

Get Dough ”made his breakthrough in the USA.

Since then, he has made headlines not only with music, but also with arrests.

In 2017 he was imprisoned for a few months for illegally possessing weapons.

In 2018 he was arrested again.

He was alleged to have been involved in a shooting two years earlier, in which one person died and two others were injured.

The musician was later acquitted of the murder allegations, but had to serve a prison sentence for, among other things, the formation of criminal organizations.

He was released in November 2020.

In his mixtape "The Truth Hurts", published four months later, he was supported by US rapper Drake, among others.
