Wu Shaojie came to Xinjiang from Henan in 2011 to attend university and studied Xinjiang Tourism Handicraft Design and Development. In the first week of coming to Xinjiang, he went to the Erdaoqiao International Grand Bazaar and was attracted by the ethnic handicrafts on the Grand Bazaar.

The longer he lives in Xinjiang, the more he likes Xinjiang's culture.

By chance, he came into contact with the soft pottery colored sculptures and began to try to create some Xinjiang characteristic soft pottery colored sculptures. These works not only won various awards, but also received recognition from many ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, which made him even more so. Strengthened the confidence in creation.

In his opinion, Xinjiang's rich cultural resources have given him unlimited creative inspiration. He hopes to use his own hands to show the culture of various ethnic groups in Xinjiang in the form of soft pottery and painted scenes, so that more people can understand Xinjiang.
