On Sunday, December 19, the final stage of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in France.

The first place was taken by the performer from Armenia Malena, who presented the song Qami Qami ("Wind, Wind").

She scored 224 points, becoming the second representative of her country to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The distribution of seats depended on the opinion of the professional jury and the vote of the viewers.

The latter could choose three contestants they liked and vote for them on the official website of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Malena was the ninth.

The maximum 12 points were awarded to her by Poland and Portugal.

As a result of online voting, she received 109 points, and the distribution of marks from the professional jury brought her 115 points.

In the final, Malena performed her song again.

The second place went to a contestant from Poland Sarah James - she performed with the song Somebody and received 218 points.

On the third line is Enzo from France.

His number with the song Tic Tac scored 187 points.

The representative of Russia Tanya Mezhentseva took seventh place.

In total, the young singer was awarded 124 points, from several countries she received the maximum mark of 12 points.

Mezhentseva performed seventh.

She sang her song "My friend" in three languages ​​at once.

During the performance, the contestant presented a dance number, in which she flew on a hoop.

The commentators of the show called Mezhentseva's performance one of the most spectacular.

This year, young artists from 19 countries took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The competition took place on the stage of the La Seine Musicale complex. 

The motto of Junior Eurovision 2021 was the word “Imagine” from the song of the winner of last year.

Frenchwoman Valentina Tronel won the competition with the composition J'imagine in 2020.

Thematic competition was dedicated to Christmas and Paris: the Eiffel Tower, stylized as a decorated spruce tree, was used as a logo.

Russian contestant Tatyana Mezhentseva has previously taken part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest: she performed at the competition in 2019.

Then Mezhentseva sang the song A time for us with Denberel Oorzhak.

The young singer has been practicing vocals since the age of four, and there are already seven recorded tracks in her creative biography.

Previously, she also won first place in the Children's New Wave competition.

According to representatives of Tatyana Mezhentseva, after the flight, her vocal cord inflammation worsened.

Despite this, the girl participated in the competition on general terms.

In 2021, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is being held for the 19th time.

The competition was first held in 2003 in Copenhagen.

Then children from 16 countries took part in it.

To date, representatives of 40 countries are participating in the competition.

Competitors from Russia won twice: in 2006 the Tolmachev sisters won with the song "Spring Jazz", and in 2017 - Polina Bogusevich with the song "Wings".

Some of the Junior Eurovision contestants subsequently performed at an adult competition.

Among them were the Tolmachev sisters, who took seventh place at Eurovision 2014.
