China News Service, December 18 (Reporter Chen Jing) The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission disclosed on the 18th that between 0-24 on December 17th, there was a new confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia in Shanghai.

  The case is a 33-year-old male who is a colleague of the confirmed case in Japan on December 7.

It has been centralized and isolated on December 7th.

During the 4 nucleic acid tests, all were negative, and the 5th nucleic acid test was abnormal.

After review by the Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it was positive; after consultation with city-level experts, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging examination results, etc., were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

  All close contacts of the case in Shanghai have been quarantined and observed before.

Relevant departments have performed terminal disinfection in the place where the case had been active.

  During the same period, Shanghai reported 12 newly imported confirmed cases of imported new coronary pneumonia through the port joint prevention and control mechanism.

Four new cases were cured and discharged, including one from Singapore, one from Germany, one from Japan, and one from Sri Lanka.
