Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Guangzhou, announced on the 17th that the group held the completion and commissioning ceremony of the Guangzhou Pharmaceutical International (Macau) Qingzhou Pharmaceutical Factory and the inauguration of the joint laboratory for the transformation of the Chinese medicine industry by the Guangzhou Pharmaceutical International (Macau) in Macau on the same day. The launch ceremony accelerated the "Made in Macau" drugs to the world.

Macau has obvious advantages in the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, but there has been a lack of proprietary Chinese medicine production bases that comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice for Pharmaceutical Products) standards.
According to reports, Guangyao International (Macau) Qingzhou Pharmaceutical Factory is located in the Macau Qingzhou Cross-border Industrial Zone. The first phase of the project covers an area of 2,341.82 square meters. It is equipped with Chinese medicine granules, water honey pills, big honey pills, hard capsules, and soft capsules. The production line of tablets and liniment preparations has obtained qualifications such as the "Pharmaceutical Industry Production License" issued by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. It is the largest and the first traditional Chinese medicine preparation manufacturing demonstration factory in Macau that meets modern GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices for Pharmaceutical Production) management. In the second phase, production lines for oral liquids, beverages, and emulsions will be gradually laid, and a batch of "Made in Macau" fine Chinese medicines and major health products will be created.
It is reported that the first batch of "Made in Macau" famous products of Guangzhou medicine include Baiyunshan Banlangen Granules, Angong Niuhuang Pills, Ganoderma lucidum spore oil, etc. The follow-up will continue to introduce proprietary Chinese medicine products such as Naoxinqing Tablets and Xueshuantong Capsules.
Relying on policies and location advantages, the famous and high-quality Chinese patent medicines "Made in Macau" are expected to accelerate overseas in the future.

On the day of the event, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group and the University of Macau also held the opening ceremony of the Joint Laboratory of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Transformation. The two parties will further deepen their cooperation, relying on the State Key Laboratory of Traditional Chinese Medicine Quality Research at the University of Macau to promote the modernization of Chinese medicine. At present, authentic medicinal materials have been developed. Comprehensive development and standard establishment, re-evaluation and new product development after the market of Chinese patent medicines, quality and process research of classic prescriptions such as Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction, etc.
