Baling is on fire!

The cover news reporter visited the Hanwen Emperor Ba tomb 24 hours after he found it

Bailuyuan has been regarded as the "Phoenix Mouth" of Emperor Hanwen's Ba tomb for hundreds of years, and it is not the emperor's true home.

The cultural relics department of Shaanxi Province released the latest archaeological results on the 14th: The location and scale of the tomb of Emperor Wenwen of the Han Dynasty who created the "Regulation of Wenjing" has been confirmed, and a large amount of gold and silver have been unearthed from the outer storage pits and accompanying tombs around the Ba Ling Precious cultural relics such as wares, pottery figurines and bronze seals.

The mystery of "Hanwen Emperor Ba tomb" was unveiled.

Chen Zhongshi's "White Deer Plain" is once again famous because of a large tomb.

Archaeologists claim that the location of the Ba tomb has also solved the name problem of the eleven imperial tombs in the Western Han Dynasty.

At 7:30 p.m. on December 15, reporters from West China Metropolis Daily and cover news drove to visit the excavation site No. 1 Waicang Pit of Jiangcun Great Tomb in Baqiao District, the eastern suburbs of Xi'an.

  Exploring Ba Ling at Night

Friendly reminders from locals "Be careful of being regarded as a tomb thief"

The Bale Tomb is located 800 meters west of Queen Dou’s Mausoleum. The distance between the two is very close. Archaeologists discovered a larger circle of rammed earth courtyard walls around Queen Dou’s Mausoleum and Jiangcun Grand Tomb, forming a large cemetery. Enclosing the emperors and queens together-this is the characteristic of the tombs of the Han Dynasty, and it is also the most critical evidence to determine the owner of the tomb.

On the evening of the 15th, the outdoor temperature was only 2°C. Although the gate of the No. 1 excavation site in Damuwai Cangkeng, Jiangcun was locked, there was still a super bright searchlight in the dark wilderness to point out the direction for tourists.

An "Archaeological Excavation Project Public Sign" standing outside the iron gate shows that the destination of this trip is accurate.

The reporter learned that the project started in April 2018. The project introduction column shows that “Jiangcun Grand Tomb is a high-level tomb in the tomb of Emperor Han Wen, and there are a large number of outer storage pits for burial objects. The excavation site is part of the outer hidden pit in the northeast area."

Two signboards hung on the iron gate, which read "Please note that you have entered the surveillance area" and "Please do not take pictures without permission."

There is a security kiosk on the left side of the gate. Security personnel dressed in overcoats came out to greet reporters, but emphasized that they need to be led by archaeologists to enter the interview.

Through the iron gate, the busy and noisy archaeological greenhouse in the daytime is quiet, and the outer storage pit is already black, and only some escalators and scaffolding are scattered on the edge of the excavation site.

From the Mausoleum of Empress Dou to Baling, there is a cement road several hundred meters long. The road is very narrow. You need to be careful if the two vehicles meet visually.

On both sides of the concrete road, there are one-person-high barbed wire fences and iron railings to prevent non-workers from entering the archaeological excavation area.

A billboard of the Hanling Archaeological Team was hung on the wire fence about one meter apart, reminding citizens to protect cultural relics.

Some archaeologists revealed that after the excavation of the Jiangcun Tomb, some citizens came to watch. In order to ensure the safety of cultural relics, local security patrols were strengthened.

Some local people sent a friendly reminder to reporters, "Don't go to Baling at night, be careful to be regarded as a tomb robber."

  Crowd of onlookers

Citizens drove 40 kilometers to Baling after get off work to get a glimpse

When the reporters from West China Metropolis Daily and the cover news were looking around the door, they met two Xi'an citizens, wearing masks and tightly wrapped down jackets, staying at the door for a few minutes.

They were also blocked by the "Iron General", so they turned on the flashlight function of their mobile phones to try to see the hidden pit clearly.

One of the male citizens revealed that they lived near the Afang Palace and learned that the real Hanwen Emperor Ba tomb had been found. After get off work, they drove 40 kilometers to find out.

Like reporters, they first found Queen Dou Mausoleum, and then followed the searchlight to find out here.

The Xi'an citizen said a very poetic sentence to the reporter: "We live near the former residence of Emperor Qin Shihuang, and came to worship Emperor Wen's mausoleum, just like listening to the dialogue between the two emperors of Qin and Han across time and space."

These two citizens are obviously very interested in history and culture. Before leaving, they turned their heads one step at a time and discussed in a low voice when the relic park could be built and opened to the public.

The reporter listened to the introduction of the security staff. As Baling became hotly searched, there was an endless stream of citizens who came to check in. He had to be loyal to his duties and always persuade everyone to return, which was a bit embarrassing.

It is worth mentioning that a certain mobile navigation software also keeps pace with the times, changing the destination of Emperor Hanwen's Ba tomb to the tomb of Bailuyuan Jiangcun in Baqiao District, which is convenient for Xi'an citizens to visit and watch.

Among them, 15 netizens waited for help under the question "Where is it convenient to go by car?" This is evident in Baling's attention.

Interestingly, the taxi driver carrying the reporter is a local guy in Xi'an.

When the reporter said that the destination was Emperor Hanwen's Ba tomb, he blurted out "Is it Phoenix Mouth?"

Knowing that the unearthed Jiangcun tomb had changed the coordinates of Ba Ling, he was not surprised at this. "Xi'an often digs tombs. Our village has dug tombs, and we are all moved out. A few years have passed, the tombs. The excavation is not finished yet."

On the way back by car, 3 kilometers away from Baling, there is a Bailuyuan·Bailucang scenic spot. There are thousands of lights on both sides of the street, which is in sharp contrast with the desolate surroundings of Baling and Queen Dou.

The driver recommended that after the interview, you can experience the folk culture in the scenic spot.

He eagerly hoped that after Baling was on fire, it could be planned as a tourist destination in the future. If the construction is completed, how much tickets can be charged.

He was very interested in the experience of searching for Baling at night: "Next time I take passengers to Baling, I can find it without navigation!"
