Candidate works for the 166th Akutagawa Prize and Naoki Prize have been announced.

Five works were selected for each, and three were selected for the Akutagawa Prize and one for the Naoki Prize.

The candidates for the Akutagawa Prize were


▽ Natsuho Ishida's "My Friend, Smith"


▽ Rie Kudan's "Schoolgirl"


▽ Daiki Shimaguchi's "On the Planet"


▽ Bunji Sunakawa "Black Box"


▽ 5 works of Yusuke Norishiro's "Minna no Arabashiri".



Mr. Ishida, Mr. Kudan, and Mr. Shimaguchi were selected as candidates for the first time, and Mr. Sunagawa and Mr. Norishiro are the third candidates.

On the other hand, the candidates for the Naoki Prize are:

▽ Five works of "Kurojukujo" by Honobu Yonezawa were selected.



Mr. Osaka was selected as a candidate for the first time, Mr. Ayase and Mr. Yuzuki are the second candidates, and Mr. Imamura and Mr. Yonezawa are the third candidates.



The selection for the Akutagawa Prize and the Naoki Prize will be held on January 19th.
