• Séverine L., the companion of Cédric Jubillar, has been in police custody since Wednesday morning.

  • She is questioned by investigators, a year to the day after the disappearance of the wife of the one with whom she has been in a relationship since last spring.

  • This 44-year-old woman, who is ten years apart from the suspect, has continued to defend him publicly in recent months.

She is one of the last people who continue to support Cédric Jubillar, in prison for six months after his indictment for the murder of his wife, Delphine.

The new companion of the husband of the nurse who disappeared a year ago in Cagnac-les-Mines, Séverine L., has been questioned since Wednesday morning by investigators.

Placed in custody in Gaillac for "concealment of a corpse", this 44-year-old woman was arrested by investigators from the research section at her home in Lescure-d'Albigeois on rogatory commission from the examining magistrates.

The gendarmes seek to know if the plasterer could have confided in him on the place where the body of the mother of the family would be.

For several weeks, Séverine L. has been defending the one she approached last spring.

If she knew him by sight before the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, through her eldest son of 24 years, she was not in contact with Cédric Jubillar in December 2020, at the time of the disappearance.

"The telephony of each other has been studied and it shows that they did not exchange at that time", indicated on LCI this Wednesday Alexandre Martin, the lawyer of the suspect number 1.

Séverine L. and Cédric Jubillar would have forged closer ties after a fight organized in April.

It was she who would then have come to meet him.

Isolated and targeted on social networks

A few weeks later, at the beginning of June, it was on his Facebook account that Cédric had revealed that they were in a relationship by posting a photo of them two.

An announcement that had aroused strong reactions, especially in the entourage of the disappeared who again denounced the behavior of a husband not really tearful.

This was not without consequences on the private life of his new companion either.

When her lover was arrested last June, she was heard as a witness and a search took place at her home.

That day before investigators, she had not been so quick to defend him.

She allegedly even confessed that she found that he was not very active in the search for his missing wife.

Statements at odds with what she was able to say subsequently in the media.

At each of her public speaking engagements, she reiterated her support for Cédric Jubillar, indicating that it was "impossible that he had done such a thing".

What has earned him "a surge of hatred" on social networks according to his lawyer, Johann Ricci interviewed on BFM TV and who describes this mother of two children as "very weak psychologically" and affected by the case.

She had also lodged a complaint against those who defamed her.

Last August, two months after the indictment, this employee of a logistics company on sick leave confided to the magazine

Femme Actuelle

that her parents no longer spoke to her. “I'm living a crazy story. I am in remission from cancer, this period is very difficult for me, ”she explained.

Since then, she has spent a lot of time on this case.

She writes every week to Cédric Jubillar and still hoped these last days that elements of the investigation would allow her companion to be exonerated.

She was thinking in particular of the famous duvet in which Delphine Jubillar slept and which had been found in the washing machine 36 hours after her disappearance.

The results of analyzes still not known after one year, would have made it possible "to rule out the implication of Cédric" she hoped with 100% radio until recently.
