The European Commission presented on Tuesday its project to reform the Schengen borderless area, a dossier that Emmanuel Macron wishes to carry during the French presidency of the EU in the first half of 2022.

Some 3.5 million Europeans cross the border of a member country on a daily basis.

And we must therefore try to preserve as much as possible, according to Brussels, the principle of opening internal borders, without permanent control.

But is this reform of the Schengen area above all a reform to try to better fight against the flow of migrants?
