A magazine that reflects his image, human and committed, in which he goes to meet cooks and artisans.

It is not the rapper who comes to Frédéric Taddeï's microphone, but the foodie.

This Sunday, Joey Starr spoke about his latest project on Europe 1, the launch of his quarterly culinary magazine, called 

Five Starr.

Both editor-in-chief and head of the gondola, the founding member of NTM signs the editorial, speaks on every page and conducts most of the interviews. 

A somewhat unexpected role

It is a role in which we did not necessarily expect him.

We knew him as a rapper, comedian, actor but not yet a cook.

“I like to fight,” comma, “for healthier eating,” Joey Starr writes in his editorial.

In this magazine, the man with the many hats delivers himself.

A magazine that is more focused on cooking than gastronomy and in which we can see the rapper preparing a mushroom salad, looking amused.

"I don't cook, I cook, it's something else," he says at Frédéric Taddeï's microphone.

Because for Joey Starr cooking is an opportunity to meet with his family.

"As long as mine are happy, what are the people asking?" 

"My favorite sport is emptying the fridge"

His kitchen is his temple.

"It's still the place where I need to be alone, I manage to do two things at the same time, that is to say cook and then have the thoughts that I want", confides- he does.

"Of course, when someone comes for a drink, I'm not curling up on the floor and faking a stroke, but it tugs me a bit."

His fridge is his weight room.

There is a leek, butter, coconut water, goat or sheep cheese, rice noodles, anchovy cream.

"My favorite sport is emptying the fridge, I love the idea of ​​being able to cook with a piece of wood, a potato and a tire, with what is left in the fridge."

The NTM rapper did not hesitate to take offbeat angles to talk about the importance of a good diet as during this interview with a gastroenterologist.

"All modern diseases are linked to food", he assures us on Europe 1. In his cupboard: rum, Japanese curry, turmeric vinegar ... "I am especially curious, I am curious without count, sometimes I know there are flavors that I don't like, I go anyway, "he says. 

But this culinary magazine, sold at 7.90 euros, has an originality: the articles are accompanied by QR codes allowing to learn more about the subject online.
