For more than five hundred years, the toothbrush has changed very little.

The electric version was invented in 1950, which is to say in the last century.

It was time, according to Benjamin Cohen, co-founder of Y-Brush, to offer a new generation toothbrush, fast and automated, which brushes all the lower teeth and then the upper ones simultaneously.

The brush also innovates in its format.

From the moment the brushing is simultaneous, this has the consequence that we will have, in terms of shape, like a tooth guard, a gutter.

Benjamin Cohen, co-founder of Y-Brush

We have done a lot of studies with consumers to ask what they think of design, to look at the grip in children, adults.

We did a lot of design and in the end we got to the current design.

Benjamin Cohen, has a very unique background.

He went through great schools to be a researcher.

At the end of his studies, he worked in the health sector, but he always wanted to launch his company to build a project from A to Z. He starts from the observation, shared by many, that we do not like brushing our teeth, in any case, that the two minutes of brushing are perceived as too long.

We had to create, innovate, to invent a manufacturing process

 "

Studies, research, tests, and 4 patents later, Benjamin Cohen offers a solution.

The brand, the technology, the product did not exist.

It's rare.

Today, when other companies launch products, in general, they know how to have it manufactured by subcontractors.

We are not the same.

We had to create, innovate, to invent a manufacturing process.

It was extremely interesting, expensive to start, but it is also a great access.

A company that would like to launch today with a product identical or similar to ours, could not do so.

Our product is adopted, we have very strong growth in France, internationally, mainly in Europe and North America

French factory and manufacture

Y-Brush changes the dental routine and its manufacture is entirely carried out in France

We work almost exclusively with partners less than a hundred kilometers from our production site. We make the part that goes in the mouth. As soon as we can, we work with recycled and even recyclable materials, which unfortunately is not always possible. There are very strong constraints in the area of hygiene. In France, for electronic components, we join an organization that allows recycling. Finally, with our toothbrush we throw away half the plastic over a year than with a manual toothbrush. The head needs to be changed every six months instead of two months for a manual brush. In practice, this is twice less plastic in the year

concludes Benjamin Cohen.
