[Explanation] On the afternoon of December 11, the Liaison Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in Shaanxi held a "Hong Kong Kitchen@shanan" event in Xi'an. This event allowed more people in Shaanxi to taste the original flavor through cooking competitions and dim sum production. Hong Kong’s cuisine has also promoted Hong Kong’s dining culture.

As one of the global economy, tourism, and shopping center, Hong Kong is not only a place where Chinese and Western cultures converge, but also a collection of cuisines from all over the world.

Therefore, Hong Kong’s food culture not only contains the oriental "flavor", but also has the "elements" of Western food.

We chose food as the theme, because many mainland friends understand Hong Kong and it is also derived from Hong Kong food.

Everyone loves to eat food, right? It's all food, and this theme is easy to resonate with everyone.

And you can share with each other across regions and language barriers.

In addition to admiring this food, everyone also hopes to understand the culture behind it, the history of every kind of food and dessert, the story behind it, etc., and also have a deeper understanding of the food in addition to eating. One more level of understanding.

[Explanation] At the event site, two teams composed of "mixed" people from Shaanxi and Hong Kong and local people in Xi'an began to compete in culinary skills under the guidance of a Cantonese chef.

Through the selection of ingredients and on-site cooking, the aroma of Hong Kong-style curry sirloin rice, braised chicken wings in abalone sauce and other "Hong Kong-style" dishes and dim sum permeates the air.

Rong Zhiwei, a businessman in Shaanxi and Hong Kong who participated in this event, told reporters that this event can promote the local people's awareness of Hong Kong cuisine in Xi'an.

In recent years, many Cantonese restaurants have opened in Xi'an, including some Hong Kong-style tea restaurants, which are quite popular among local young people.

Whether Cantonese cuisine or some Cantonese snacks, they have gradually entered the Northwest and Xi'an markets. I think everyone is very accepting.

Several newly opened ice rooms and restaurants line up every day and have to wait for seats every day.

I think everyone has gradually accepted a Hong Kong-style food culture.

[Explanation] Li Yunyan said that Shaanxi has a wide variety of food and unique food culture.

This time I brought Hong Kong cuisine to Shaanxi friends to share, and hope to bring Shaanxi cuisine back to Hong Kong in the future, so that Hong Kong people can learn more about Shaanxi cuisine and culture.

Build a "Bridge of Taste Buds" with delicacies to promote cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Shaanxi.

It's the bubble bun and the pork bun. These are our Hong Kong people's basic understanding of Shaanxi cuisine.

But of course, I also know that Shaanxi, especially Xi'an, as an ancient capital of the thirteen dynasties, actually has a long history in food and a rich cultural history.

For example, the gourd chicken, these are many dishes with stories.

In the future, I think it will be very popular to go to Hong Kong as a topic for sharing.
