It was newly confirmed that a man who had stayed in Sri Lanka who arrived in Japan on the 4th was infected with a new mutant virus "Omicron strain" of the new corona.

As a result, 13 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Omicron strain in Japan.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the infection was confirmed in a man in his 40s living in Gifu prefecture, who has a history of staying in Sri Lanka.



When I arrived in Japan on the 4th of this month, I returned to my home in Gifu prefecture by car because the test was negative at the quarantine station at Narita Airport, but after that, I was confirmed to be a close contact, so I had to undergo a detailed test.



As a result, infection with the Omicron strain was confirmed.



Men have symptoms such as fever and malaise and are currently hospitalized in a medical institution.



Also, the man had been vaccinated twice.
