The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the General Administration of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, launched a promotional campaign for inmates' products under the slogan "Take their hands towards a better future", as part of the Dubai Police's continuous efforts to rehabilitate inmates and enable them to support themselves with self-projects after completing their sentence.

The Director of the General Administration of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, Major General Ali Muhammad Al-Shamali, stressed that Dubai Police spares no effort to launch initiatives and establish programs for male and female inmates, as part of the ongoing work to rehabilitate them and provide them with the necessary tools to be able to support themselves in the future with legal projects that keep them away from the wrong path and reintegrate them into The community, pointing out that, in cooperation with partners, they enroll inmates in specialized courses throughout the year, such as handicrafts and home industries for inmates, and craft professions such as carpentry, blacksmithing, mechanics and other industries for inmates. He added: "Inmates receive percentages of profits from the sale of their products and industries, and members of the community can support and motivate them and take their hand towards the future, by purchasing their high-quality products, at the exhibition of craft products at the headquarters of the penal institutions in Al Awir in Dubai, or through online shopping on the Noon website. ), or by visiting the products platform in the global village.

For his part, Director of the Inmates Training and Education Department, Major Muhammad Al-Obaidli, stressed that the process of rehabilitating and training inmates and empowering them in various trades and jobs contributes to their reform and help them build a decent and new life, while providing for their families at the same time, whether they are inside or outside the country.

The head of the Marketing and Finance Department, Captain Ali Abdel Rahim, indicated that the promotion of inmates' products in different platforms resulted in the sale of more than 11,000 products during the past three years, due to the high quality of the products and their cheapness compared to what is offered in the markets.
