In a case where a former employee was arrested for injecting air into a blood vessel of a resident man and killing him at an elderly facility in Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture, police investigated the body of the man in detail and found that a large amount of air was blown into the blood vessel. Interviews with investigators revealed that there were traces of the blood vessels.

The former employee has denied the charges against the investigation.

Megumi Akama, a 35-year-old unemployed beauty suspect in Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture, injected air into the blood vessels of a resident, Setsuji Yoshida (76), at the Long-Term Care Health Facility in Koga City, where she was working at the time last July. He was arrested on the 8th of this month on suspicion of murder.



Akama is believed to have infused air by connecting the barrel of a syringe called a "syringe" to Mr. Yoshida's IV tube, and according to investigators, just before the condition suddenly changed, he put a syringe near Mr. Yoshida. The operation was witnessed by another staff member.



In addition, when police examined the body by taking CT images, it was found by interviewing investigators that there were traces of a large amount of air in the blood vessels.



Police are investigating that they have infused a large amount of air in a short period of time.



According to investigators, Akama has denied the charges against the investigation.
