  Superintendent Tan Weixin of the Technology Crime Division of the Police Cyber ​​Security and Technology Crime Investigation Division said that the police recently discovered that some people have created groups on social platforms to advocate against the SAR government’s policy of strengthening the use of the "Travel with peace of mind" app and call on citizens not to get the new crown vaccine. It also promoted and appealed to the public to participate in the unauthorized assembly and the so-called "three strikes" on November 20 and December 9 respectively, advocating the use of violence to cause destruction.

  Tan Weixin pointed out that the relevant behavior has been suspected of committing the crimes of "inciting others to participate in an unauthorized assembly" and "inciting others to commit criminal damage."

The police took an arrest operation on December 8. A total of 4 people were arrested in Wong Tai Sin, Wan Chai, Tuen Mun and Sai Kung, involving 2 men and 2 women, aged between 29 and 42, including the group's administrator.

The police seized 9 mobile phones and 1 computer during the operation.

  Tan Weixin said that the arrested persons are now being detained for investigation, and police operations are still continuing, and it is not ruled out that more people will be arrested later.
