An Egyptian artist caused a wide wave of controversy on social media platforms, after publishing a picture with her son during prayer, wearing pants instead of prayer clothes.
The artist, Ola Rushdi, was attacked after this photo, which she indicated that she wanted her to be a role model for mothers in teaching and encouraging their children to perform the obligatory prayer.
Against the background of this debate, the media official for Al-Azhar’s preaching, Ahmed Abdel Rahman, confirmed that covering the private parts is a condition of the validity of prayer, and it is not valid without it.
