At Nagasaki Airport in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, a large votive tablet was set up to hang wish cards such as prayers for success.

The large votive tablet, 1.2 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, installed in the departure lobby of Nagasaki Airport is installed by the Japan Airlines Nagasaki Branch every year at this time to support students and job hunters heading outside the prefecture.

Every year, the wish card mainly says "Pray for success", but the content changed due to the corona virus, and those who visited on the 9th wanted the new coronavirus to converge and went on an overseas trip early. I wrote something like "I want to" and hung it on a votive tablet.

A man in his 50s who came from Saitama Prefecture for work said, "I asked my wife to get rid of her illness. I want to go on a trip once my illness is cured."

According to the Japan Airlines Nagasaki Branch, more than 1000 wish cards are hung every year, but last year the number of airport users decreased due to the influence of the new Corona, and the number was only about 550.

The votive tablets will be installed until the 27th of next month, and the collected wish cards will be dedicated to the Suwa Shrine in Nagasaki City.

Rikako Hidaka of Japan Airlines Nagasaki Airport said, "I would like to dedicate it to the shrine while hoping that everyone's wishes will come true. I want you to write various wishes freely."
