A jumbo kadomatsu with a height of about 3 meters was set up at JR Uwajima Station to warmly welcome people who use the station during the year-end and New Year holidays.

Jumbo Kadomatsu is installed at JR Uwajima Station every year by local railroad enthusiasts to warmly welcome returnees and tourists who use the station during the year-end and New Year holidays, and this is the 41st time.

On the 9th, about 10 people, including railroad enthusiasts and JR staff, gathered and brought in about 3 meters of bamboo.



Then, after standing on the pedestal, I added lush pine trees and red fruits from the southern sky to make a gorgeous kadomatsu.



Kadomatsu was installed at the entrance of the station, and customers were able to enjoy the New Year's mood as soon as they saw the newly completed Kadomatsu.

A woman in her 60s who came to see her family off at the station said, "I feel like New Year isn't coming. I hope the new Corona will settle down next year."



Chairman Masatoshi Nakagawa (81), a group of railroad enthusiasts who set up Kadomatsu, said, "I made it hard next year with the hope that Corona will converge. I hope it will be a good year." rice field.



Jumbo Kadomatsu will be installed until January 15th next year.
