Is this a home for extraterrestrials? .. A picture from the moon continues to stir controversy

A picture of a cube-like object or house taken by a Chinese rover on the far side (the dark side) of the moon has sparked speculation about what it is and has inspired sarcastic comments and photos among Chinese netizens, with some describing it as a "home of aliens".

The Chinese website (OrSpace) stated that the vehicle (Yuto-2) took a picture of what appears to be a large, cube-shaped object that loomed about 80 meters from its place.

"It's nothing but space junk left by the United States," one Chinese user wrote in a social media post.

Another said, sarcastically, "Come a little closer, and you will see that it is the site of a laboratory for the Covid-19 virus."

Another said in feigned horror: "It's the home of aliens!"

Others have suggested a simpler possibility, that the cube is a rock.

According to Orspace, the Yutu-2 solar-powered vehicle will travel a distance of 80 meters in a period of two to three lunar days, that is, two to three months on Earth.

The Yutu-2 mission sets a historical precedent for humans as no country had landed on the dark side of the moon until the arrival of the rover in January 2019.
