While Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the strengthening of the health protocol in schools, the situation linked to Covid-19 is tense in primary schools in Hauts-de-Seine.

The incidence rate of 6-10 year olds has exploded, reports Hauts-de-Seine.

According to figures from Public Health France, this figure was 1,251.89 per 100,000 inhabitants the week of November 27 to December 3.

Between November 13 and 19, two weeks earlier, the incidence rate for this age group was 371.34 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

That is almost four times lower than its current level.

Slightly better than in Paris

But the department located north of the capital is doing slightly better than in Paris, where this figure is 1,326.96 per 100,000 inhabitants, for the week November 27 to December 3.

The national average is 955.04 cases detected per 100,000 inhabitants.

All ages combined, in France, the incidence rate is 430.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
