On December 5, with the approval of the Asteroid Nomenclature Committee of the International Astronomical Union, the asteroid number 530721 discovered by the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was named "Southern Saturn".

Since then, the name of the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences has entered the starry sky of the universe.

  "Southern Saturn" is located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, with an orbital eccentricity of 0.210, an orbital inclination of 2.158 degrees, and an orbital semi-major axis of 2.400 AU, and it takes 3.72 years to orbit the sun.

The farthest distance between "Southern Saturn" and the earth is 584 million kilometers, and the closest is only 134 million kilometers.

  "Southern Earth Planet" was discovered on September 11, 2007 by the near-Earth Object Telescope at the Xuyi Astronomical Observatory of the Purple Mountain Observatory.
